Hi, I’m M. I’m a twenty-something, travel addicted, newlywed, who just moved to Germany. I’m currently going through all of those lovely expat obstacles like culture shock, language barriers, and creating a new home abroad. I’ve started this blog as a way to share my experiences as an expat and to connect with fellow expats all over the world.

I met my German husband (we’ll call him C) while doing my master’s degree. We did the long distance thing for a few years and finally tied the knot in summer 2015. Since then, I’ve been living here in Germany.

I’ve previously lived in Spain, Australia, and England, and I’ve traveled to over 20 countries and six continents. I am always looking for the next adventure. I also love to curl up with a good book, write anything from research papers to poems, and my guilty pleasure is definitely binge watching (mainly reality) TV shows.

You might also be wondering why I’m going by the nickname “M” and why I don’t show any photos of my face on this site. I’ve decided that while I want to connect with the blogging community, I wish to remain somewhat anonymous at the moment. This may change in the future, but for now I want this site to focus on the experience of being an expat and not on myself.

When I’m not on this blog, you can find me on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest.

If you have a question or comment for me, you can reach me through my contact page.

I hope you enjoyed getting to know a little about me and I look forward to getting to know more about you!
